Pokhara Is the third largest city in Nepal. Annapurna area. It is considered by many to be the most beautiful place in the whole wide world. You can travel to Pokhara from the capital Kathmandu using the tourist buses that are readily available or the local microbuses or buses which leave Kathmandu for Pokhara almost every 15 minutes. Coming from the southern border to India, several buses leave to Pokhara from the border city. It takes about 8 hours and costs between 280 and 380 Rs. Compared to the border town of Sunauli, if you can travel to the nearby town of Butwal, you will get more options for travelling to Pokhara.

For those looking to bring home a fine Tibetan carpet, this is the place to shop. You will then go to Swayambhunath the golden spire of the 5th-century Swayambhu stupa is adorned with a colorful fluttering of prayer flags; it crowns a hill overlooking the Kathmandu Valley and offers fantastic views over the city of Kathmandu. Swayambhunath is one of the most recognizable symbols in Nepal and the painted eyes of Buddha watch all who ascend the worn stone steps.
