Beijing
A morning visit to the Temple of Heaven; watch the elderly locals do morning exercises and perform street opera in the surrounding parks. Afterwards visit this stunning temple complex. See Tian An Men square and enjoy the Forbidden City guided tour with excellent audio-guide system included. Also have access to the Hall of Royal Collection of Ancient watches and clocks, and Hall of Imperial Jewelry. Visit the famous Liulichang Quarter, known throughout China and the world for its ancient books, calligraphy, paintings, rubbings, ink stones and ink. Attend a spectacular show featuring the Beijing Acrobats. Enjoy a Peking Duck dinner at the excellent Da Dong Restaurant
Day 3
Beijing
Visit the Great Wall at Mutianyu, with cable car ride. This section of the Great Wall takes about 1,5 hours to reach. Visit the famous Silk Market where a multitude of items such as fake brand clothing, electronics, golf equipment, sunglasses, silk and pearls are sold. Remember to bargain hard! Dinner reservations are made at Capital M Restaurant, a fantastic dining experience near Tian An Men Square (own payment)Day 4
Beijing
Hutong Tour: Spend a few hours in a rickshaw exploring the fascinating backstreets of Old Beijing, and visit the Drum Tower with panoramic views of the Hutongs. Also have tea with a local family. A walking tour of the Dashanzi '798' Art Zone. Private transfer from the hotel to the airport. Fly to Hangzhou in Economy Class. Private transfer from the airport to the hotel. In the morning you will be picked up at the hotel for a two hour tour in the Old French Concession on a vintage 1930′s style sidecar motorcycle. Next, you get driven in a private car to Pudong, to have lunch in the Shanghai World Finance Center (SWFC) with impressive views over Shanghai. After lunch your guide will take you to quirky but amusing Bund Sightseeing Tunnel connecting both riverbanks. Go for a stroll on The Bund, walk past stately colonial-era buildings and enjoy the Pudong skyline views. This final evening in Shanghai is free to spend as you please; we can make dinner reservations at one of Shanghai’s prime dining venues. We will provide you with complimentary tickets to see the famous Shanghai Acrobats at Shanghai Centre.Day 10
